Our 2nd Internal DevOpsDays + Automation Make Day + DevOpsDays Minneapolis sponsorship
You might remember what I wrote about our first internal DevOpsDays. Well, we’re doing it again, and this time we’ve got more great community speakers lined up and new team members stepping up to demo and share. Between the ignite talks, open spaces, and breakout sessions, we’ve got keynotes from Adaptive IT consultant Jeff Sussna (@jeffsussna) with a talk titled “What Empathy as the Essence of DevOps Really Means” and Sensu founder Sean Porter (@portertech) with a talk titled “Continuous Integration & Continuous Development – How Monitoring Fits Into the Pipeline”.
Also, a few days after DevOpsDays we’ve got another event planned; a day solely devoted to building more automation goodness (much like tgtMAKE Day blogged about before) — we’re calling it Automation Make Day. It’ll be a chance for everyone to gather together in one space for a full day to hack on the top automation things that need to most love right now, and afterwards everyone will get to demo what they created.
And finally, we’re really excited about our “Gold Medal” sponsorship of DevOpsDays Minneapolis (July 17th-18th @ University of St. Thomas). In addition to presenting at the conference about our DevOps cultural shift, we’ll also have a table there so people can talk with us — stop by and say hi!
I like sharing all of these internal happenings because if you’re like me, you like working at a place that encourages this kind of stuff and wants to get better at it. Like I mentioned before, we want good people to join us and help us keep making this happen.
